IKEN is here!

Our quest to have a powerful beginning is what led us to IKEN. When our team sat down together to discuss the prospect of a virtual e-debating competition, we sure wanted a name that will reach out to people. We wanted a beautiful name with a meaning that reflects our vision. That's how we landed on IKEN. Iken is a Japanese word that means opinion. At Pratyaksh, we value opinions very much and our first project was aimed to bring out as many opinions as possible through an engaging platform. When we finalized our name for the campaign, we needed to search for a topic and an adjudicator for IKEN too while our creative team started working on the posters and palettes, content writer i.e. me wrote captions and write-ups. I started working on this blog and our founder already had her research done on the topic. She came up with a controversial, innovative and educative topic; Farm laws. But there was no challenge in that topic, for we needed one so that the participants challenge themselves in the journey of researching on the topic. Muskan [founder] suggested that we combine the topic with an edge that's very popular and contemporary: covid-19. And that's exactly how we did it! The agenda was fixed and our PR Team and Creative Head worked on getting more and more participants and on social media pages respectively. IKEN is on it's wheels and we are all buckled up for the amazing ride!
